You could just use TinyMCE. Create the content just like you would do. Where you would like to enter the PHP code, start typing {source} then the code and then {/source}. Save the settings.
Note:
Be in the WYSIWYG mode - Do not switch to Code mode.
In case if you are comfortable with Code mode, either you can have No Editor in the Global Configuration or use rthe button Code (CMS Content -> </> Code) in the TinyMCE.
