General Questions/New to Joomla! 4.x • Do you use any project management tools?

I have one site that I manage that is getting out of control. It gets so much traffic and so much new content that it has become hard to keep up. We have added more people to the team to manage article authoring and editing, but without a central place to keep track of everything that's going on we're not being nearly as efficient as we know we could be.

Ten years ago or more I had the chance to use Basecamp, and it was great - easy to navigate, keep track of who is doing what, when things are due, messaging between users, basic stuff like that. But now it seems like bloatware and I would rather do something "in house" so to speak. I've looked at some of the Joomla extensions out there, but they seem kind of lacking in one way or another. I really just want something that runs on the back end and ties together all the various tasks that come up, like:
  • Such and such module needs updating
  • New article due to publish on __/__/__
  • These pages need SEO improvement: _____ , _____ , _____
  • etc.
Anyone got any ideas? Could this be done with a combination of custom fields and user messaging perhaps?
Thanks!
